Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

When I took my 1st geometry class, I thought it was going to be hard and complex. It's actually pretty easy. I thought of many equations with many variables and new things. Geometry is almost what I learned in pre-algebra last year. Anything new is really easy to understand. For example, we learned about sine, cosine, tangent. I never understood what it meant or what it is. It has to do with the sides of the triangle lengths. Things may look hard in geometry, but it's really easy once you understand.

We don't use technology in our class very often. We only use laptops to use it for the PARCC practice tests and use an app called GeoGebra for finding angle measures and things about triangles and other polygons. We learn a lot more since we have a small class and we don't have distractions in our class. And we don't have any projects, but we do Think Through Math and Khan Academy for homework.

Geometry is not hard if you don't make it complicated. It's not like algebra with different equations to solve one problem with variables. Geometry has some equations to help, but it's not that hard to use with shapes and/or coordinates. For example, finding the length of a line with a formula. It may look long, but it's easy.

Tech Article 2/12

Be Careful Of What You Download On Your Android!

People who use Android phones may be infected by downloading games. Games from Google Play are from random people. You might download it since the game looks fun, but the app can have malware and harm your phone. If ads pop-ups when you unlock your phone, then your phone is infected. It might say that your phone might be out of date or have adult content in your phone. The virus can go on random web pages and some apps might send expensive messages that you did not send. If you download any security apps (even if they are very good), the app will not stop the virus and the pop-up ads. One of the apps that had this virus was the Durak card game app that has been downloaded between 5 to 10 million times.

Educational Technology and Copyright Law 2/9

I learned that all images are not able to use to education purposes. Some of the image may be licensed which means that you can not use the image. If you make a random drawings in your notebook, it's copyrighted and you don't have to get any license for it. If you use an unlicensed image for educational purposes, then it's under "fair use".

Welcome To My Blog!

My first half of the year went very went. My favorite class is Geometry Honors. I help my dad making deliveries and fix his trucks, earning $20 each day. I love taking Web 2.0 because I want to learn many things that happen in the technology world and use several programs. I like to practice basketball in the park and also I practice soccer. So, I can probably join the soccer team next year. I'm going to El Salvador in summer to meet my aunt, uncle, and etc. I also want to go in winter because there is no snow and see numerous fireworks.
